Always got it driven me to a lot of us.
It's a way of life.
we started about five years ago on our own, We still custom make a lot of hats.
As well as rebuilding hats, Now we're just kind of filling through here.
Make sure we don't get any deep wrinkles and kind of hand and ironing it out.
This one's a 50% beaver, 50%, European hair like the rabbit.
Had an old timer tell me one time you said you didn't realize you were going to spend most of your 40s ironing and sewing your life away.
When we were riding the world economy, we found out over the last few years is really influencing the cowboy culture every piece of fur, for the most part, comes from Ukraine.
All the straw hats are built in China and majority of them are finished in Mexico.
some of the shipments coming up are having up to 60% tariffs on them.
So a hat that used to cost $180 is costing well over 200. and.
I'm 42 years old.
So tariffs are a new thing to me it's a hard pill to swallow we become a really disposable society.
there's nobody in the United States.
they can weave, paper together to make a cowboy hat.
when it comes to finding people that can run a sewing machine to put sweatband back in it, really wash a hat block a hat, rebuild a hat, and you go through that aspect.
A lot of that stuff is gone.
I'm just a small business owner.
I know that it sucks for me through it, but I know that I can't do anything about it right now except unlock our doors every day and treat our customers well.
And and push through it.
