Flying Saucers Over Washington?
8/10/2026 | 2m 58s
On July 19, 1952, air traffic control operators reported some strange objects in the sky over D.C.
Just before midnight on July 19, 1952, radar at Washington National Airport tracked slow-moving blips over the capital. Andrews AFB saw them too — and a bright light that shot away. Jets scrambled; the targets vanished every time. A week later, they returned. The Air Force blamed the weather, but the case was still unsolved when Project Blue Book closed in 1969. Was it hot air — or something more?
